The Maine Development Foundation and the Maine State Chamber of Commerce partnered on a research effort to identify the investments and policies that are needed to support long-term economic growth in the state.  The findings and recommendations can be found in two reports: a comprehensive review and research piece titled, "Maine Investment Imperative II: Unleashing the Potential," and a shorter focused, discussion paper titled, "Making Maine Work."  

A key component of both papers was a survey of Maine business leaders on the factors that affect their investment decisions in Maine.  Over 1,000 business leaders participated in the survey.  They identified the supports as well as the obstacles to investment and ranked the priority issues for the next governor and legislature.
