Jobs in Maine: Online Job Postings by Industry, Occupation, Skills, and Education

Photo from cover

MDF is pleased to present the second in our Quarterly Jobs Report series, Jobs in Maine: Online Job Postings by Industry, Occupation, Skills, and Education.  The report draws data from thousands of online job listings and social media sites to determine which industries are hiring, which occupations are most in demand, and the skills, experience, and degrees that Maine employers are looking for. This report also explores the trends in worker hires and separations, or "churn," in the labor market that isn't evident in the net job growth numbers.

This  report covers the third quarter of 2013 and is the second in a continuing series.  A year end report will be released in early 2014.

This report is made possible by our partnership with John Dorrer, Senior Advisor for Jobs for the Future and former Acting Commissioner for the Maine Department of Labor, and through the generous support of the John T. Gorman Foundation.
