New Staff Announcements

Ed Cervone
recently joined the staff at the Maine Development Foundation. He will
serve as the program director for the Maine Economic Growth Council.
Other duties will include working with the Capitol Riverfront Investment
District (CRID), a riverfront investment partnership between the City of Augusta and the State of Maine. Prior to joining MDF, Ed worked for the non-profit Maine Center for Economic Policy conducting research and outreach on the economic issues facing
Maine. Ed’s other experience includes manager for sales and
manufacturing firms and projects in the public sector. Ed lives in
Hallowell.

Kristen Cady joined MDF in 2007 as program director for the Maine Downtown Center and REALIZE!Maine, the statewide initiative to connect young people age 20-40.
Prior to joining MDF, she held jobs in the communications and tourism fields;
from marketing director at the Sun Journal to marketing manager at the
Massachusetts Convention Center Authority. Her volunteer activities is what
initially brought her to MDF, as she served on the Board of Gardiner Main
Street and chaired the Economic Restructuring Committee, and also served on the
REALIZE!Maine Steering Committee and chaired the Communications Committee.
Kristen holds a BA from the University of Maine at Orono.

Melanie Arsenault recently joined the staff of the Maine Development
Foundation as the Senior Program Director of the Maine Employers’ Initiative.
The Maine Employers’ Initiative will provide Maine's public and private
employers with technical assistance, training and statewide recognition for
forward-looking workforce education policies. Prior to MDF, Melanie’s
experience includes workforce development at Eastern Maine Development Corp.,
consulting and human resources with L.L. Bean, Inc. Melanie is a resident of
Hampden.
