2003 Main Street Bath Priorities
Design
(Working in three
sub-committees "Honoring the Past", "Bettering the Present"
and "Envisioning the Future")
1. Expand summer flower program to Commercial Street and
Centre Street
2. Work in developing "Museum in the Streets"
Program
3. Initiate inventory of buildings in the Main Street
district
4. Establish a plaque program to recognize historic
downtown structures
5. Work with City of Bath in further implementation of
Way Finding System
Organization
1. Continue to build sustainable financial support for
Main Street Bath
2. Recruit and train a broader base of volunteers
3. Create a customized presentation for use by staff and
volunteers for presentations to groups in Bath and surrounding communities
4. Expand media coverage in print and electronic media
Promotion
1. Develop new promotions with other organizations and
sustain and revitalize current promotions
2. Coordinate and redesign a unified Bath website and
downtown Map and Guide
3. Develop a marketing plan with logo for MSB
Economic Restructuring
1. Complete the intercept survey; use analysis to
develop strategies to help existing businesses take advantage of market
opportunities
2. Complete the business survey to identify business
needs
3. Work cooperatively with public and private
development projects to provide support and advice
