“Main Street Works!”
5th Annual Downtown Conference
Wednesday, October 12, 2005 – Bath, Maine
The 5th Annual Downtown Conference "Main Street Works!" will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2005
in beautiful downtown Bath. Please join us for an informative, fun-filled day with a thoughtful keynote presentation by author Colin Woodard,
a comprehensive offering of downtown-related workshops and discussion forums, and a celebration all of the good work being done across the
state of Maine to revitalize our wonderful downtown districts.
Bath is one of the charter Main Street Maine communities, and was recently recognized by
the National Trust for Historic Preservation as one of their "Dozen Distinctive Destinations" for 2005. Our conference this year will
highlight all of the wonderful things Bath has to offer, from the lovely Chocolate Church and impressive City Hall to the Kennebec River
itself. Our end-of-conference reception will be held at the Maine Maritime Museum, where conference participants will be given access to
the museum exhibits as well as enjoy a few surprise announcements from some very special guests. For more information about downtown Bath,
